warning-2013

Watched Open Sea-2? Don’t if you have to watch ‘Warning’, India’s first 3D ocean-thriller, you better have a gun to your head for doing that or you need to have extremely good reason not to skip it and think that this movie never happened.

Was it that bad?

You have full liberty to check on that.

STARRING

Santosh Barmola, Jitin Gulati, and Manjari Phadnis

Warning (2013) (IMDb | Wikipedia) : OVERVIEW

REVIEW

STORY

Ah! The best part of the movie is the story. Which again isn’t authentic creation from great minds. Recently released movie Horror Story ka story hai yeh remake. seven friends have a reunion on a yatch where surprisingly is also a infant. While boozing and grooving, they sail through gossips and the sea, somehow, they find themselves stranded. not the pirates of the Caribbean stranded or the ‘cast away’ stranded, but this cast away is to save the infant on the yatch who is surrounded in a pool of blood and is crying out loud throughout the movie.

PERFORMANCE

The cries of the baby were chilling. The infant is the best performer so far. I recently watched Piranha in a very bad print and with 20 times disruption and no pop-corns and almost audible sound and I loved it, compared to this lost and cry out fest. The actors are dressed all sexed up and they have cool talks, jokes which somehow make the first part bearable. Then comes the scare. The second part is all about the director showing his remnant skills of shambles in ocean while the actors look distraught and pressed. The background effects sound watery. The 3D format only adds to the misery.

MUSIC

‘Bebasi’ and ‘Tell me how much’ are good to the ears and might save you from too much shouting and whining. Chikadanga has good soundtrack.

VERDICT

I had promised Pradeep, editor of MoviesDrop to have a review on this one and this is what I said to the familiar face at the ticket counter who said “sit wherever you want in the theatre. Only 2 more sold.” after he checked with me that I had actually asked tickets for ‘warning’. This is one movie which is going down as bad as Akshay went for his blue. RATING: 1.5/5
