Station (2014) Review

For someone who hasn’t watched a Hindi Movie for a good half of the last decade since his sister got married and moved away… And who dwells in deeper, darker subjects in music and visuals of #PinkFloyd and #ChrisNolan movies.

To me Station – The Film catered to its genre of #Thriller to the “T” and broke the language barrier. It’s a no holds barred inexcusably provocative in your face bold and proud #IndependentMovie. It is imperfectly perfect with its wittiness, aggression and emotion. One thing that you immediately feel from the get go once the credits are rolled out is empathy. You are instantly submerged into this world of characters who have laced themselves into corruption, substance abuse and knocking out of opponent as if it were a mere game of chess. Your standards of self moral swing from left to right like a pendulum as the characters in the movie not only appeal but convince you of their actions.

While the plot thickens like a broth heating over a low flame with ingredients of obsession, regret, narcissism and vengeance. You can’t help yourself but root for the love stories within, that we get to pay attention to but view through a key hole. To me this is brilliance.

CAST & CREW

An excellent job from Directer Saad Khan, to me an India’s #GuyRitchie in his own right for this well crafted piece of art I can’t wait to see your sophomore effort. Production also done a quality work, thanks to the producer Sumit Ghosh.

I only go on to compare the actors in the movie to Hollywood counterparts to briefly pay my respect through comparison. Sameer Kevin Roy a brooding and method #JamesMcAvoy. Vibhinta Verma an emotionally intoxicating #RooneyMara. Kanika Batra a strong intellectual #CarreyMulligan. Siddhanth Sundar a #JamesGandolfini no words needed to describe. Last and definitely not the least, who I’m immensely proud of is Rohiet Nair an intense intimidating #MichaelFassbender.

VERDICT

This movie is a must watch if you know whats good for #IndianCinema we definitely need more of these. Best of luck team Station – The Film looking forward to seeing you on top of the critically acclaimed list which you well deserve!!
