Tomb Raider Movies In Order To Watch!
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
Played by Angelina Jolie, Lara Croft belongs to an aristocratic British family and loves collecting artifacts from the ruins of ancient cities, temples etc. world over. She doesn’t mind putting her life in danger while trying to obtain them. Furthermore, she is extremely good at hand-to-hand combat, foreign languages, and weapons too, and does it all wearing stunningly tight outfits.
The planets in our solar system are getting realigned (which happens every 5000 years) and Illuminati (a secret society) is going after an ancient talisman which would potentially put them in control of time. However, they are in dire need of a specific key or clock to reach that talisman, and they must locate that talisman within a week, or risk waiting until the next realignment. Lara Croft is able to locate that key inside a wall inside her mansion. Illuminati successfully steals that key and Lara gets hold of an old letter written to her by her deceased father, acquainting her with the secret agenda of the society. She takes upon the task of retrieving that key and destroying the talisman before it gets into the hands of Illuminati.
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003)
In this second movie of the Tomb Raider series, the British archaeologist Lara Croft makes the biggest archaeological discovery in the history of mankind – an orb which provides access to a mythical Pandora’s box. This orb, unfortunately, reaches an evil scientist named Jonathan Reiss, who deals in dangerous viruses and wants to sell the secrets hidden in the box to antisocial elements, for personal gains. Lara Croft is brought on board by the British Intelligence, in an effort to gain that orb back from Jonathan. She, in turn, recruits Terry Sheridan, a former British Marine who is now a mercenary (also her boyfriend from the past) to help her in this assignment. Both of them embark on a major adventure that takes them through several continents, trying to get hold of that orb.
Tomb Raider (2018)
Expected to release in March 2018, this edition of Tomb Raider movies would feature a 21-year-old Lara Croft who puts everything behind her in her quest for the last-known destination of her father. It’s a fabled tomb located somewhere on a mythical island situated someplace off the coast of Japan. Her mission turns out to be a fairly difficult one as it appears that reaching the island would be extremely treacherous. She’d need to push her limits while journeying into the unknown.
