This should be pretty exciting for movie freaks now. It’s time to RIP piracy too. Finally Google Play Movies is live in India. The prices are good, you can buy or rent them. Now you can watch the movies you love, everywhere you go.
If you take, for example, for the movie “TED” you can buy it for Rs. 490 or you can rent it for Rs. 126. Also the price varies whether you want the SD (Standard Definition) or HD (High Definition) quality.
When you are buying:
For SD it costs Rs. 490 and for HD it costs Rs. 640
When you are renting:
For SD it costs Rs. 126 and for HD it costs Rs. 157
You can start watching your rental within 30 days of purchase, and continue to watch them up to 48 hours. I’m going to give this a try as soon as possible, and see the difference between their SD and HD content.
Once they get the rent prices down a little more, piracy will vanish… !
